November Chapel Offerings
For the month of November, our chapel offerings will be going to the Restoring Hope Food Pantry Ministry. The mission of Restoring Hope is to share the hope we have in Jesus Christ with our community through relationships, and by offering a safe place for families who are hurting to receive relief.
Restoring Hope couldn't happen without the support of community partnerships with The Houston Food Bank, local grocery stores, and our community at Trinity Klein. Each year our school families open their hearts and their pantries to help stock the shelves of Restoring Hope at some of their busiest times. Please consider giving each week because as you do, you are sharing Jesus with our community.
November 12 is Prayer Partner Pantry Chapel. Help us stock the shelves for the holidays!
Operation Christmas Child
5th grade has selected two boxes to fill, one for a boy and one for a girl. If you would like to contribute, please see the suggestions to the right. Donations are due by November 23. If you would like more information about Operation Christmas Child, please visit the website below.
PSIA
If you have a child who loves to be challenged academically, consider signing him or her up for PSIA (Private Schools Interscholastic Association). Students in PSIA participate in a day of academic competitions against other private and parochial schools in our area.
The contests are very diverse, spanning 18 different subject areas, including speech, writing, art, spelling, math, and science. Contests vary by grade level.
If you have questions, please contact Kim Schleicher at schleicherk@trinityklein.org.
*Students are to wear this year's "Shine" spirit shirt. If you do not have one, please order one through the Spirit Store.
*Students DO NOT need to bring their backpacks!
*Veterans' Breakfast is for Veterans ONLY! 5th graders need to report to their homerooms during this time.
*Please enter your child's information and enter their selected word for the vocabulary parade. This selection is DUE by Monday, November 10th. Teachers will review and approve for students by Tuesday, November 11th. Word selections should be ACADEMIC VOCABULARY and avoid slang words.
Dress Code
The 2025-26 Dress Code Regulations can be found HERE. Policing dress code takes time away from the teaching and learning that we value at Trinity Klein. Please review the dress code linked above and ensure that your student is coming to campus dressed in accordance with those standards each day. We need your help to make our current dress code work!
You can order Trinity Polos or uniform-style bottoms online at Flynn O'Hara Shop or visit their store front in Houston.
5th Grade Homework Expectations
Homework is a very important part of TKLS education. Your child will have homework and quizzes weekly. Our homework calendar will let you know assignments, quizzes and tests that are coming up and when they will be due. Please help your child to get in the habit of carving out time to study and complete homework. We do offer daily study halls for students who find it difficult to complete work or study at home. If assignments are turned in late, you will receive a notification and 10 points will be deducted from your child's grade for that assignment. A link is also located in the Resource Documents section.
How to Access Clever from Home
The easiest way to access Clever (at home OR school) is via a student’s “Clever badge” (a QR code that students should keep in their binder). There is an alternate method if the badge is unavailable. See steps below:
Go to www.clever.com
Click “log in as a student”
Search for “Trinity Klein Lutheran School, TX”
Click “Clever badge log in” (along right side)** (See below if you don’t have a badge or it doesn’t work.)
Hold Clever QR code (should be in students’ binder, on a lanyard) up to your computer camera.
You should now see all of the educational apps that have been loaded for your child. The most commonly used app will be Google Classroom.
**If you don’t have a Clever badge, you can “sign in with Google.” You will use your child’s Trinity email address (firstname.lastname@tkeagles.org) and password. Note that the email address uses the full first name, not a nickname.
**If there is a problem with access in Google Classroom, start by double checking that your child is logged into Google through their Trinity account. (HINT: Look for the profile picture near the nine-dot “waffle” when you are on Google. Many times parents will see that Google has defaulted to their account or to their child’s personal account. Your child’s profile picture for their Trinity account should be their first-name initial. When you hover over the profile picture, it should show your child’s Trinity email address. If it does not show, click the profile picture and click “add account” to enter your child’s information.
