My name is Mrs. Bowen and I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade ELAR this year!! This will be my 27th year teaching.  I taught Kindergarten for many years, moved up to 1st grade, taught 3rd grade for a number of years and now have the privilege to teach 5th. I have been married to Mr. Bowen for 26 years.  He teaches Geometry at Concordia Lutheran High School.  We have 4 children; Benjamin (22), graduated from Concordia and works for Centex Restoration. Sarah (19), is a Sophomore at Stephen F. Austin University, studying to be a high school language arts teacher.   Luke (17), is a Senior at Concordia and Leah (15), is a Sophomore at Concordia.

We love to spend time with our family and friends.  Some of our favorite family activities are road trips, hiking, camping, playing games and watching movies.  Our game nights can be quite competitive!  Our favorite movies to watch include Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter and many more.

I am so excited for the school year to start. You will be learning a lot of fun things this year!  

We are a running family.  I've coached track and cross country for many years.  All of our children have run cross country and track.  Currently, Leah is on the Concordia XC and plays soccer.  Both Luke and Leah run track team.   Mr. Bowen isn't a runner, but he is our biggest fan!
